Rules to read the Quran.
There are many rules and regulations to read the Quran which are often forgotten. But some rules everyone should follow while reading the Quran. Holy Quran is the last and the final book of all the Holy Books revealed on different Prophets of Allah. So we must follow the rule before reading the Holy Book, which is given below.
- Always being in a state of cleanliness.
- Always Start recitation with Ta’awwudh(A`ūdhu billāhi min ash-shaitāni r-rajīmi”) and Tasmiya (b-ismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīmi).
- Slow recitation
- Accurate pronunciation of the letter.
- Recite with a beautiful voice.
- Careful on verses.
- Memorizing and Practicing of the Quran.
- Handle the Quran with care.
- Recitation of the Quran on daily basis.
Always being in a state of cleanliness.
The first and the most important rule before reciting or touching the Quran is that you should always be in a state of cleanliness. Before touching the Quran you should do the WUDU. If you are not in the proper state of cleanliness then you should take a proper shower called Ghusal.
Always Start recitation with Ta’awwudh and Tasmiya.
Ta’awwudh is to seek protection in Allah from shaitan by reciting
(A`ūdhu billāhi min ash-shaitāni r-rajīmi”)
and after this Tasmiya
(b-ismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīmi)
Ta’awwudh and Tasmiya are necessary so that shaitan does not distract you from the path of Light.
Slow Recitation of the Quran.
If you are reciting the Quran then you should recite in such a way that if you are reciting loud then everyone can understand what you are reciting.
Accurate pronunciation of the Quran.
The Quran is revealed in Arabic which is a very difficult language. So, if we are reading the Quran without any learning then we are not able to recite it properly. So, if we are not able to recite it properly then the meaning of that word is changed and the message of Allah cannot be changed.
Recite with a beautiful voice.
If you are reading or reciting the Quran then you should recite with your beautiful voice so if someone can listen to your voice then he/she will give all his attention towards you.
Careful on Verses.
When you are reading or reciting the Quran then you should be careful while reading or reciting the Verses where it is started and where it is ending. So be careful while reading the Quran.
Memorizing and Practicing of the Quran.
Every Muslim wants to memorize the Quran in his/her Heart. The reward of memorizing the Quran is so high. But it’s not an easy task to memorize the Quran.
Handle the Quran with care.
The Quran is the last holy book of Allah revealed on Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W). It is the most sensitive book in the World. There are no books like the Quran. So handle it with care. Don’t place it on the floor, place it somewhere on the shelfs.
Recitation of the Quran on daily basis.
It necessary for all Muslims to recite the Quran on the daily basis with the proper translation. So that everyone knows what our Allah wants from them.
